What you will do
- Own the end-to-end litigation portfolio, including active disputes, regulatory inquiries, and arbitrations.
- Serve as the primary in-house point of contact for outside counsel, driving strategy and controlling legal spend.
- Build and maintain litigation infrastructure, including legal hold procedures and matter tracking.
- Advise Sales, Product, and Engineering teams on litigation risk and dispute-avoidance strategies.
- Partner with Privacy and Security teams to ensure compliance with data retention guidelines.
- Identify systemic operational or contractual risks and surface insights to leadership.
Requirements
- J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar required.
- Significant experience managing complex commercial, data, or employment disputes as lead or co-lead counsel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage outside counsel effectively and maintain in-house ownership of decisions.
- Strong business judgment with the ability to translate legal risk into practical recommendations.
- Familiarity with data privacy frameworks such as CCPA or GDPR.
- Experience building or improving litigation infrastructure and project management discipline.

- Prior in-house litigation experience.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance research, drafting, and workflow efficiency.
