Location: Must be based in San Francisco, CA (hybrid: expected in office at least 3 days a week)

Salary: $335,000 - $385,000 USD

What you will do

• Partner with Legal, People, and Finance teams on global M&A deals.
• Advise managers on compensation, benefits, performance management, and co-employment issues.
• Implement compliant employment programs aligned with company values and People philosophy.
• Develop written guidance, policies, and playbooks to translate complex law into actionable frameworks.
• Proactively identify and mitigate employment legal risks and manage relationships with outside counsel.
• Coach and mentor stakeholders to build employment law fluency across the organization.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California, New York, or Washington preferred).
• Proven experience owning a legal practice area or major workstream independently.
• Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills for translating legal issues for non-lawyers.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, and ambiguous environment.

• 10+ years of practicing employment law across law firm and in-house experience.
• Experience advising on employment legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Background in a high-growth tech company or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Track record of building scalable employment legal programs or playbooks.
