Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, or Washington, D.C. Hybrid model (3 days in office) or remote within these areas.

Salary: $297,000 – $330,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Advise cross-functional teams on U.S. and international sanctions regimes applicable to AI products.
• Develop global sanctions compliance strategies and processes for frontier AI operations.
• Partner with Finance, Integrity, GRC, and Engineering to implement embedded sanctions screening and controls.
• Own compliance documentation, including policies, standards, dashboards, and escalation frameworks.
• Lead ongoing reviews and risk assessments to ensure the effectiveness of compliance controls.
• Explore and deploy AI tools to enhance and streamline trade compliance efforts.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in trade compliance, specifically within large technology companies.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Sophisticated understanding of how US and international sanctions laws apply to multinational US companies.
• Proven experience incorporating compliance processes into complex business workflows.
• Strong program management skills and ability to build trust with cross-functional teams.
