Senior Paralegal, Employment (AI): Provide paralegal and project management support for employment legal matters, investigations, litigation, and compliance across Legal, People, and business teams with an accent on scaling processes, risk mitigation, and workforce expansion. Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid model: 3 days in office per week, relocation assistance offered)

Salary: $216K – $240K + equity

What you will do

• Serve as strategic partner to design, implement, and scale employment tools, systems, and processes.
• Support employment investigations, pre-litigation, agency matters, and litigation with internal and outside counsel.
• Partner on employment law compliance, risk mitigation, and regulatory requirements in the U.S. and globally.
• Manage processes for onboarding, offboarding, mobility, and lifecycle documentation across jurisdictions.
• Drive legal support for workforce expansion, including drafting employment agreements, policies, and contractor arrangements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable resources and training materials.
• Build document management systems and identify automation opportunities for employment processes.
• Act as escalation point for high-priority employment matters requiring judgment and problem-solving.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience as paralegal
• Must have in-house paralegal experience at a fast-paced innovative tech company
• Deep familiarity with US labor and employment law
• Experience supporting employment litigation, including discovery and external counsel coordination
• Familiarity with compliance matters, audits, government reporting, and internal investigations
• Solid organizational skills, collaborative communication, ownership, enthusiasm for AI, and sound judgment in ambiguity

• AI-specific experience
• Familiarity with international employment laws and policies
• Experience with litigation, investigations, discovery, and legal operations
• Breadth across litigation/regulatory areas like IP, privacy, employment, antitrust
