TL;DR

Counsel, AI Policy (Legal): Navigating the increasing AI legislative and regulatory landscape in the US and abroad with an accent on analyzing complex proposals and developing policy positions. Focus on distilling complex legal concepts into persuasive ideas and engaging with regulators to influence AI standards.

Location: Hybrid: Based in San Francisco, CA or Washington, DC (3 days in office per week). Relocation assistance available.

Salary: $248K – $275K + Equity

What you will do

• Analyze proposed laws and regulations concerning AI to determine impact on hirify.global and the broader AI community.
• Collaborate across Legal and Global Affairs to develop policy positions.
• Provide strategic analysis and advice to the Global Affairs team and other internal stakeholders.
• Advise on evolving regulatory and industry standards affecting hirify.global’s business and customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a mix of in-house and technology-focused law firm roles.
• Strong background in technology policy, with experience analyzing complex legislation.
• Experience and familiarity with AI or a demonstrated interest in AI laws and regulations.
• Ability to write clearly and concisely, distilling complex concepts into simple, explainable, and persuasive ideas.
• Experience engaging with regulators and/or policymakers.
