TL;DR
Senior Consultant, Clinical Operating System (cOS) (Healthcare Operations): Delivering and scaling a technology-enabled operating model for health systems across assessment, implementation, go-live, and sustainment with an accent on clinical operations, daily management systems, and frontline behavior change. Focus on coaching leaders and care teams onsite, embedding software into clinical workflows, and improving reliability through dashboards, escalation pathways, automation, and workflow integration.

Location: Remote in the U.S.; approximately 80% travel, typically Monday–Thursday onsite with a primary U.S. client

Salary: $116,000–$160,000 base annually, plus a discretionary bonus or commission and benefits.

What you will do

  • Lead clinical Operating System engagements through assessment, implementation, go-live, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Coach unit, department, hospital, and system leaders on standard work, daily management routines, and adoption.
  • Translate the methodology into observable behaviors that improve reliability, accountability, and frontline engagement.
  • Partner onsite with clinical, operational, quality, safety, patient experience, and executive leaders.
  • Embed dashboards, rounding tools, escalation workflows, event reporting, and reliability metrics into clinical workflows.
  • Work with product, engineering, and analytics teams to identify adoption barriers, workflow improvements, automation, integrations, and opportunities to scale the new service line.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in acute care, including operations, clinical transformation, performance improvement, or high-reliability environments.
  • Experience leading operational change in clinical settings and implementing change rather than only advising.
  • Deep experience with daily management systems such as tiered huddles, leader rounding, visual management, escalation pathways, and standard work.
  • Understanding of how products, data, dashboards, workflow tools, and integrations influence adoption.
  • Ability to coach leaders from frontline managers through senior executives and work in active clinical environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with strong communication, facilitation, systems-thinking, adaptability, and relationship-building skills.

  • Background as a technology-oriented healthcare operator or implementation leader.
