What you will do
- Own and prioritize strategic merchant and brand relationships in the Japanese market.
- Lead complex, high-value commercial deals from strategy to close.
- Shape supply-side approach for platform, marketplace, and affiliate partnerships.
- Align supply-side strategy with internal product, marketing, and data leadership.
- Represent the company at industry forums and conferences as a thought leader in AI-commerce.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in partnerships, business development, sales, or account management.
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with Japanese companies.
- Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
- Deep knowledge of the Japanese e-commerce, retail, and digital media ecosystem.
- Ability to operate with significant autonomy within a Tokyo-based team.
Nice to have
- Experience with EC platforms, marketplaces, or affiliate/ASP networks.
- Established senior relationships with brands in fashion, beauty, electronics, or travel.
- Background in mobile, advertising, or commerce-tech at high-growth scale.
