What you will do

• Build and own the partnerships strategy in Japan, identifying high-leverage partners across enterprise, SI, and public sectors.
• Source, structure, and close strategic partnership agreements to drive revenue and product adoption.
• Develop joint go-to-market motions, including co-selling and embedded deployment of Devin.
• Act as the senior relationship owner for C-suite, innovation leaders, and technical stakeholders.
• Translate market and partner feedback into product insights for engineering and product teams.
• Shape the broader APAC strategy in alignment with global priorities.

Requirements

• Proven track record of scaling strategic partnerships in Japan within AI, deep tech, or enterprise software.
• Experience working with large Japanese enterprises, system integrators, and cloud ecosystems.
• Ability to navigate Japanese business culture and decision-making structures at the executive level.
• High level of technical fluency to position complex AI and software engineering solutions.
• Fluent in Japanese and English.
• Must be based in Tokyo for on-site work.

• Experience scaling a partnerships or alliances function from zero to one in Japan.
• Background in technical roles (engineering, solutions) transitioned into commercial leadership.
• Success in driving co-sell or ecosystem-led growth in high-growth SaaS or AI companies.
• Experience with top-tier Japanese consultancies or technology providers.
