What you will do
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), managing hiring and performance growth.
- Manage capacity planning and staffing, allocating engineers across parallel strategic enterprise projects.
- Drive engineering delivery, owning milestones, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to unblock high-severity production issues.
- Establish scalable field engineering practices, reusable patterns, and playbooks to improve reliability.
- Translate recurring customer needs into productization proposals for the Core Engineering team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, or DevOps.
- Proven track record in people leadership and developing engineering talent.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex technical projects in large enterprise environments.
- Strong technical depth across backend engineering, APIs, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes.
- Must be based in Germany (Office or Remote).
- Confident and credible communication skills for engaging with senior technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience building or integrating AI/LLM-powered systems, including agent workflows, orchestration, and vector DBs.
