What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of production-grade agentic AI workflows for clinical data validation and quality control.
• Develop advanced RAG patterns and evaluation frameworks to ensure agent reliability, grounding, and hallucination mitigation.
• Build scalable backend services and orchestration layers to support AI-driven clinical trial operations.
• Define MLOps standards including CI/CD, observability, and cost management for agentic systems.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and drive technical strategy across cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Regulatory.
• Evaluate emerging AI techniques and transition validated research into hardened production solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK.
• Fluent English proficiency.
• Strong professional software engineering experience with a track record of delivering production-grade systems.
• Deep practical expertise in agentic AI design, multi-step orchestration, and tool integration.
• Extensive experience with RAG patterns, embedding management, and retrieval evaluation.
• Solid understanding of MLOps/DevOps practices and scalable backend architecture.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineering team members.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical imaging workflows (DICOM, modality concepts).
• Background in regulated or quality-sensitive environments (healthcare, life sciences).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science.
