Agentic AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build, and operationalize agentic AI capabilities for medical imaging clinical trials.
• Develop agents for imaging data intake and validation, metadata reconciliation, protocol-driven quality control, discrepancy detection, and structured extraction from DICOM, non-DICOM, reports, and PDFs.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation using controlled knowledge sources such as SOPs, protocols, specifications, and runbooks, with citations and traceability.
• Build evaluation harnesses covering task success, grounding, hallucinations, regression testing, bias, and failure modes.
• Help transform the product development lifecycle with agentic workflows for discovery, delivery, deployment, and production operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Imaging Operations, Data Engineering, QA, Security, and Regulatory/Quality teams to define use cases, guardrails, acceptance criteria, and human review workflows.

Requirements

• Solid professional software engineering experience, including shipping production systems.
• Experience implementing LLM-based systems, including agentic workflows, tool calling, and structured outputs.
• Strong understanding of RAG, chunking, embeddings, retrieval quality, citations, and knowledge grounding.
• Experience evaluating LLM or agent quality through offline testing and production telemetry.
• Knowledge of APIs, testing, clean architecture, data validation, lineage, auditability, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and secure deployment practices.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Exposure to medical imaging concepts, DICOM, metadata, or clinical trial workflows.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, regulated software, privacy, or security-sensitive environments.
• Master’s degree or relevant AI/ML specialization.
