What you will do
- Design and implement ML and AI solutions end to end, from data exploration through deployment and monitoring.
- Build reliable, maintainable, production-ready AI systems using modular design, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, containerization, and observability.
- Evaluate classical ML, NLP, LLM-based, and agentic approaches, balancing cost, speed, complexity, interpretability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define success metrics and ship AI-powered user-facing features.
- Champion dataset versioning, model evaluation, fairness and bias assessment, biomedical curation, and real-world performance tracking.
- Mentor junior AI engineers and contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and research-driven innovation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience building AI/ML systems in production, including data collection, modeling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Strong Python skills and experience with modern ML or agentic frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or LangChain.
- Understanding of LLMs for NLP, including embeddings, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
- Strong software engineering foundations, including version control, unit and integration testing, CI/CD, containerization, reliability, and scalability.
- Experience with product-focused collaboration, end-to-end system reasoning, technical documentation, and MLOps/LLMOps practices.
Nice to have
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Background or professional experience in life sciences, health tech, or other data-intensive domains.
