Process Engineer

TL;DR

Process Engineer (Manufacturing): Assisting in developing manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling alternatives, including sequence and flow of operations for production of parts and assemblies with an accent on process definition, equipment/tool launch, and continuous improvement. Focus on designing, integrating, and testing advanced process technology while providing vendor oversight and applying Lean principles to solve production issues.

What you will do

• Develop manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling alternatives, including sequence and flow of operations for effective use of personnel, materials, machines, and facilities.
• Execute sequence of operations and manufacturing process definition for production of parts and assemblies.
• Design, construct, integrate, install in plants, launch, and continuously improve equipment and tools for high-quality assembly production.
• Provide technical direction and oversight to outside vendor sources.
• Develop and test advanced process technology and apply Lean principles.
• Manage projects and assignments with autonomy and accountability for results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields; employer accepts one (1) year of related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.
• Two (2) years of experience as an Advanced Mfg Specialist, NPP Programs & AVD Studies Coordinator, Mfg Engineering Body Systems Controller, Mfg Engineering Body Process Engineer, Mfg Engineering Intern, or related occupation.
• Two (2) years of experience with manufacturing processes including welding, dispense, and throughput.
• Body shop tooling vendor experience and design for manufacturing with new product launches.
• Experience with Teamcenter Visualization and Autodesk Design Review or AutoCAD 3D.
• 80% travel required to client sites nationwide.
