Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

TL;DR

Process Engineer (Manufacturing): Supporting production operations in a manufacturing plant with an accent on process quality, equipment uptime, and safety. Focus on driving root-cause analysis, continuous improvement projects, and technical leadership within press and testing systems.

Location: Onsite at Bay City, MI plant. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Relocation benefits may be available.

What you will do

• Provide daily support to production operations, focusing on safety, quality, and equipment uptime.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues.
• Provide technical direction to skilled trades personnel for repairs and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including FMEA databases and standard work instructions.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, cost, and reliability.
• Support launch activities for new or modified equipment, including installation and validation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing plant setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant technical field.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to work 2nd shift and overtime as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and Power BI.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
