TL;DR
Industrial Engineering Lead (Manufacturing): Overseeing lean manufacturing systems and production documentation with an accent on throughput optimization, labor efficiency, and continuous improvement. Focus on leading cross-functional teams to eliminate waste, manage plant performance metrics, and support the launch of new automotive products.
Location: Onsite in Lansing, Michigan. This role is not eligible for remote work.

What you will do
- Oversee production documentation including assembly process systems and labor reporting.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
- Manage and develop a team of industrial engineers to achieve plant objectives.
- Analyze throughput data and monitor conveyor line speeds to identify performance gaps.
- Coordinate with core teams on process layouts and new model launches.
- Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomics, and quality standards across the facility.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial engineering or combined production and industrial engineering experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- Must be able to work onsite in Lansing, Michigan.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing and leading productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work off-shift and overtime as required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
- 5+ years of industrial engineering experience.
- Experience with Global Manufacturing System (GMS) and labor reporting.
- Background in maintenance or production group leadership.
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
