Virtual Primary Care Physician (Telehealth)

Location: Remote within the United States, with several onsite planning and team-building gatherings each year. The company office is in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Salary: $300,000–$325,000 annually, plus health insurance, 401(k), and bonus.

What you will do

• Provide comprehensive primary care through virtual consultations, including asynchronous care, diagnosis, treatment planning, and care coordination.
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners through collaborative practice agreements, chart and documentation reviews, coaching, clinical consultation, and professional development.
• Manage high-complexity patients and support total-cost-of-care initiatives within a value-based care model.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement, peer review, chart audits, care-gap management, and evidence-based program development.
• Use population health data, quality metrics, and clinical documentation to improve outcomes across assigned patient panels.
• Participate in daily care-team huddles, cross-functional collaboration, and predictable after-hours on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Must reside in the United States.
• MD or DO graduate of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program.
• At least five years of primary care experience and current board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted physician license in Massachusetts required; licensure in 35 or more additional states is highly desired.
• Experience collaborating with and supervising Nurse Practitioners and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Experience with value-based care, clinical quality initiatives, peer review, chart audits, population health, and healthcare technology.

Nice to have

• Experience in virtual-first or telehealth-enabled primary care.
• Current Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration and federal DEA registration.
• Experience in a rapidly scaling healthcare or digital health organization.
