Salary: $161,072 - $217,920 per year

What you will do

• Define and execute the modern data architecture roadmap for front-office investment and operations.
• Lead solution design and integration patterns across internal and vendor platforms to ensure reliable data flow and security.
• Own core investment data models (IBOR, ABOR, PBOR) and establish canonical data product standards.
• Evaluate and guide the adoption of modern data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks through PoCs and benchmarks.
• Identify and validate AI use cases and define secure AI architectural guardrails and agent patterns.
• Provide hands-on leadership through mentoring and coaching of analysts and engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in architecture or senior engineering roles with deep data architecture expertise.
• Deep domain knowledge of Asset Management / Capital Markets including trading, portfolio, and risk workflows.
• Strong background in data modeling (conceptual/logical/physical), integration patterns, and data governance.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, lake house, dbt) and cloud-native deployment practices.
• Must be able to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN at least three days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience with investment platforms like Aladdin Studio, FactSet API, or Bloomberg DL+.
• Knowledge of data cataloging/governance platforms and automated lineage workflows.
• Production experience with AI/agentic architectures and standardization approaches such as MCP servers.
• Programming proficiency in Python, SQL, or Java.
