What you will do

• Develop inspection and testing procedures for returned components to perform root cause analysis.
• Retrieve and analyze warranty performance data using tracking tools.
• Manage weekly warranty review meetings with Engineering, Sales, and Plant personnel.
• Coordinate customer communications and 8D processes with internal teams and suppliers.
• Record warranty costs and assist in accurate forecasting and reporting to meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Inspect prototype tested assemblies and provide detailed reports to the engineering community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Must be based in or able to work from Maumee, OH.
• Proven problem-solving skills including experience with 8D, 5 Why, or Red X tools.
• Strong analytical skills and competence in quality-related statistics and process controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and preferably Minitab.
• Demonstrated mechanical skills to identify product deficiencies.

Nice to have

• Past warranty or technical service experience.
• Drivetrain component product and application background.
• A.S.Q. Certified Quality Engineer certification.
