Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate non-conformities, perform formal root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company, ISO, and customer QMS requirements.
• Manage APQP processes, including PFDs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Capability Studies.
• Prepare customer QA submittals, such as ITPs, FAIRs, and PPAP documents.
• Train production staff and inspectors on measurement techniques and quality best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and tools such as SPC and FMEA.
• Proficiency in statistical software and quality measurement tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of ASME Welding Code.
• Working knowledge of NDE (PT, VT).
• Professional certification such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
