What you will do
- Monitor and optimize the performance and profitability of new accounts across a range of lending products.
- Develop and maintain valuation models and performance curves to assess the net present value of lending cohorts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with partnership and acquisition teams to drive strategic optimization decisions.
- Identify data patterns to support the build and roll-out of new lending strategies for brands like Argos and John Lewis.
- Create analytical tools and data environments to articulate performance insights to the business.
Requirements
- Strong quantitative analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Excel.
- Experience using Python and visual analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to evaluate commercial and customer impact resulting from pricing and strategic changes.
- Strong numeric and critical thinking skills with the ability to present findings to non-expert audiences.
- Collaborative operating style and ability to support wider team objectives.
Nice to have
- Experience with consumer lending products (cards, loans, mortgages) and the relevant regulatory environment.
- Previous P&L exposure and familiarity with reviewing financial performance.
