What you will do

• Advance data handling and governance across the group, ensuring alignment with Group standards and internal policies.
• Implement and maintain external regulatory frameworks, specifically BCBS239.
• Improve data quality and governance through detailed data analysis and reporting.
• Facilitate full data lineage and establish consistent processes and controls for compliance.
• Act as a subject matter expert for the Risk Data Excellence team, providing mentorship and feedback to collaborators.
• Promote process simplification and efficiency to ensure accurate reporting to the Board and regulators.

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience in data management, data governance, or a related field.
• Strong background in managing data quality, data lineage, and transforming data insights into enhancements.
• Ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of risk and control frameworks.
• Must be based in the UK to support hybrid working requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS239.
• Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra or Ataccama.
• Proficiency in Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools.
• Experience working within large, complex financial services environments.
