Senior Infrastructure Specialist (Fintech): Managing high-demand infrastructure upgrades and application lifecycle activities for a major financial group with an accent on SQL Server migrations and Windows Server environment maintenance. Location: Hybrid (Gdynia, Gdańsk, Warszawa, or Łódź), requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
Salary: 800 - 950 PLN/day on B2B contract.

What you will do
- Migrate SQL Server 2016 databases to SQL Server 2022 clusters.
- Upgrade, migrate, or decommission Windows Server 2016 environments.
- Coordinate migration, testing, and release activities with internal teams and vendors.
- Support application lifecycle management, incident handling, and patching.
- Remediate vulnerabilities and ensure system monitoring.
- Prepare technical documentation including HLD, SDD, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration and SQL Server migrations.
- Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure migrations and production support.
- Proficiency in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Strong documentation skills (HLD, SDD, operational procedures).
- Ability to work in a hybrid model in Poland.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with banking domain systems (payments, KYC, compliance).
- Experience with automation and scripting.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments.
