What you will do

• Lead the creation of complex, high-impact user interfaces meeting rigorous accessibility standards.
• Plan and conduct autonomous user research to drive strategic design decisions.
• Own the end-to-end development of wireframes, prototypes, and detailed designs.
• Evolve the design system to meet project needs and provide strategic implementation guidance.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and articulate design rationale to senior stakeholders.
• Lead iterative design processes, encouraging experimentation and validation to improve usability.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
• Previous experience designing AI-native products.
• Proven experience working in UK Defence or with UK Defence clients.
• Demonstrated ability to influence product direction and wider product strategy.
• Experience establishing design systems and ensuring consistency across projects.
• Advanced expertise in design tools and methods, including AI-powered tools.
