What you will do
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership and work direction for a team of engineers and contractors.
- Drive software architecture for MBE systems at the product-line level.
- Translate system-level requirements into actionable software designs and technical standards.
- Contribute directly to software design, development, debugging, and system integration.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment.
- Lead defect resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience (or advanced degree with 6+ years).
- Must have experience in semiconductor capital equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, project management, or team supervision.
- Strong foundation in Object-Oriented design and development.
- Proficiency with C#, .NET, C++, WinForms, WPF, COM, and SQL.
- Experience with hardware communication protocols (serial, TCP/IP, Modbus).
Nice to have
- Experience with SECS/GEM protocol.
- Experience with AI and machine learning.
