TL;DR

Location: Must be based in the US (Louisville, CO office with 25% travel required to project sites; full-time telecommuting permitted).

Salary: $108,000–$145,000 USD/year.

What you will do

  • Perform due diligence for M&A projects, assessing risks and feasibility.
  • Lead early-stage project planning, including site selection and preliminary design.
  • Develop preliminary Balance of Plant (BOP) designs for civil, electrical, and substation systems.
  • Optimize micro-siting for turbines, road layouts, and electrical collection routes.
  • Review and negotiate Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA) and BOP contracts.
  • Oversee construction efforts to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in wind system design, development, construction, and analysis.
  • OSHA 10-hr or comparable job-site safety certification.
  • EIT or PE qualification (passing the FE exam).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Civil 3D, ETAP, PSSE, PSCAD, and Primavera.
  • Experience with substation layout, Gen-Tie line design, and foundation design.
