Salary: $137,000β$157,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid power plant modeling.
- Interpret ISO/TSO interconnection requirements and configure SMA control parameters for project-specific compliance.
- Manage and maintain model portfolios across PSS/E, PSCAD/EMTDC, and TSAT platforms.
- Validate dynamic model behavior against design specifications and troubleshoot functionality issues.
- Collaborate with the Global Competence Center in Germany to align on modeling standards and emerging trends.
- Develop technical documentation and training materials for internal teams and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required (Master's or PhD preferred).
- Minimum 5β7 years of professional experience in the utility-scale renewable energy sector.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with PSS/E, TSAT, and PSCAD/EMTDC.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without visa sponsorship.
- Must be based in the Continental US for remote work.
- Strong understanding of power electronic converters, protection systems, and grid-code requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platforms like RTDS or Typhoon HIL.
- Familiarity with Python, ASPEN OneLiner, or MATLAB.
- Experience with ERCOT and MISO jurisdiction modeling.
- Knowledge of grid-forming inverter technology and advanced battery storage controls.
