Software Engineer Manager

Location: Dallas, United States

Salary: $143,640–$273,000 per year in the U.S.; regional ranges may differ. Eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and motivate software development teams delivering solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Design, develop, and support software products, services, and systems.
• Manage project scope, schedules, resources, and risks.
• Hire and train team members while supporting their professional growth.
• Partner with the Scrum Master to prioritize the backlog and create INVEST-compliant user stories.
• Take on SRE responsibilities, including automated testing, QA checks, and code scanning.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience managing high-performing teams using Agile methodologies.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Leadership experience guiding development teams toward business-focused outcomes.
• Proficiency in project management, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Strong business acumen and customer focus.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with one or more hyperscalers and cloud-native solutions.
• Continuous learning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
