What you will do

• Build and scale a new vector database offering for AI-powered applications.
• Ensure continual system reliability and maintain best-in-class performance.
• Own the full development lifecycle from design documents to release across all software stack layers.
• Implement new features and functionality using TypeScript, Go, and Rust.
• Optimize R2 Storage request processing and refine user experience rendering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Proven experience managing high-volume software applications.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in at least one modern strongly-typed language such as Go, Rust, or C++.
• Strong expertise in Machine Learning, specifically data processing and retrieval algorithms.
• Must be based in or able to work from Austin, TX in a hybrid format.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Vector Databases and associated Machine Learning Algorithms.
• Experience in low-latency real-time environments (e.g., HFT, game engines, payment systems).
• Expertise in debugging and optimizing large-scale Linux-based distributed systems.
