Salary: $50k - $70k annually (DOE)

What you will do
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and monitoring outputs to surface operational trends, anomalies, and risks.
- Run data querying and analysis (including SQL) to investigate findings, determine root cause, quantify affected populations, and assess borrower/operational impact.
- Translate data findings into clear recommendations with priority rationale and communicate them to the right stakeholders.
- Design and implement solutions to operational problems, pressure-testing hypotheses using process and system knowledge.
- Perform initial triage on issues and present context, impact assessment, and prioritization recommendations to operations leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Maintain documentation for processes, data definitions, reporting logic, and system functionality; manage multiple concurrent work items and escalate when needed.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in an analytical, student loan, technical, problem-solving, or project management position (required).
- Experience with database concepts and simple query language (SQL) (required).
- Some experience with analytical tools such as Power BI and/or Advanced Excel.
- Some experience with project management on small to medium projects.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a standard schedule split for associates residing within 30 miles of an office.
