What you will do

• Own the engineering function end-to-end, including execution, quality, and reliability.
• Design and evolve the engineering operating model to support rapid company scaling.
• Partner with the CTO and executive team to set technical direction and strategy.
• Hire, develop, and retain a strong leadership team and engineering talent.
• Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery while maintaining system reliability.
• Foster a strong engineering culture that attracts and retains top-tier talent.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Berlin.
• Senior engineering leadership experience with strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proven track record of scaling engineering organizations and developing managers.
• Experience leading cross-functional Frontend, Backend, and Reliability teams.
• Ability to turn ambiguous strategy into clear, executable technical plans.
• Strong accountability and experience owning organization-level outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native.
