TL;DR

Manufacturing Process Engineer (Aerospace/Manufacturing): Supporting fiber cable and transceiver production floors from design through end-user support with an accent on process analysis, technical documentation, and quality compliance. Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Cleveland or Highland Heights, OH (Onsite)

Salary: $70,000–$84,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Provide hands-on support and training for fiber optic termination and transceiver assembly processes.
  • Design and manage CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs for production fixtures and products.
  • Perform failure analysis and process improvements to enhance throughput and reliability.
  • Manage ERP system data, build procedures, and production documentation.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental efforts for new product introductions and engineering projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards including AS9100 and ISO 9001.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. person to access export-controlled information.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 4 years of manufacturing or mechanical engineering experience.
  • 2 years of CAD design experience, preferably with SolidWorks.
  • Understanding of fiber-optic cable, transceivers, and military specifications.
  • Ability to work onsite in Cleveland/Highland Heights, OH.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PCBs and electrical/optical connectors.
  • Knowledge of ATEX and ISO 9001 practices.
  • Project management experience in a manufacturing setting.
