What you will do

• Determine optimal welding processes including friction, MIG, laser, and projection welding.
• Develop standardized production processes, equipment specifications, and Poka-Yoke systems.
• Lead multi-plant quality resolution and technical project management for major equipment purchases.
• Manage the CQI-15 Welding System Assessment program to ensure compliance with AIAG and customer standards.
• Provide technical training and support to process engineers and production staff on welding theory.
• Perform equipment health checks and audits across global manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Extensive technical proficiency in welding processes, equipment, and robotics.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint interpretation, GD&T, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Fundamental understanding of statistical methods such as Cp and Cpk.
• Ability to support global operations, including domestic and international travel.
