Collections Manager

What you will do

• Oversee daily collections operations to ensure timely resolution of delinquent loans and lines of credit.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a high-performing collections team, providing regular coaching and performance feedback.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex or high-risk member accounts, negotiating repayment solutions.
• Monitor compliance with federal and state laws, including FDCPA, BSA, and CFPB regulations.
• Analyze collection data and performance metrics to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with lending and risk departments to enhance underwriting standards and delinquency prevention programs.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience
• 5+ years of related experience in collections or finance
• 3+ years of people leadership experience
• Working knowledge of CFPB, FDCPA, WCA, small claims, repossession, and bankruptcy law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to handle difficult customer service situations professionally
