Emerging Market FX Trader

Location: London Moorgate, UK; regular work from the Moorgate office with work from home available on Wednesdays and Fridays

What you will do

• Quote global clients in more than 145 currencies and execute FX transactions through Bloomberg, Refinitiv FXT, 360T, and other systems.
• Collaborate with UK and US trading desks to provide client coverage and support daily trading volumes.
• Manage end-of-day UK position reporting and accurate, timely P&L entries.
• Coordinate with global trading desks, settlements, Middle Office, and liquidity providers.
• Build expertise in selected emerging markets, including market developments, regulatory requirements, and compliance considerations.
• Identify market opportunities and establish compliant processes and client solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an emerging-market FX sales and/or trading role within a bank or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of African markets, especially deliverable FX.
• Good knowledge of derivatives, including Non-Deliverable Forwards and FX Options.
• Master’s degree in science, economics, or engineering if having fewer than 10 years of experience.
• Ability to work from the London Moorgate office, with some travel required.
