TL;DR

Staff Auditor (Finance/IT): Executing financial, operational, and IT audit procedures to ensure compliance with Global Internal Audit Standards with an accent on control testing and SOX/ICFR activities. Focus on applying data analytics to expand test coverage and drafting evidence-based findings to improve organizational processes.

Location: Deerfield, IL - Hybrid (Flexibility to work from home Mondays and Fridays)

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 USD

What you will do

  • Execute fieldwork by performing control and substantive testing and maintaining professional workpapers.
  • Apply data analytics via Excel and Power BI to expand test coverage and corroborate audit conclusions.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (SOX) and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to draft concise issue statements and participate in stakeholder closing meetings.
  • Ensure daily conformance to IIA Standards and participate in internal QAIP activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, IT, data science, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of combined internal audit and/or accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with IIA Global Internal Audit Standards (2024) and COSO Internal Control Framework.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, primarily within North America.

Nice to have

  • Willingness to pursue CIA, CISA, or CPA certification.
  • Proficiency using AI, automation tools, and data visualization.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish.
