Location: Must be based in the United States (Hybrid/Remote options available in New York, NY and Albany, NY).

Salary: $50,000 – $100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze and audit diverse accounting systems to identify potential financial fraud.
• Organize and present large volumes of financial data, including bank records, tax documents, and healthcare claims.
• Assist in planning investigations by performing quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Prepare concise reports, charts, and schedules for use in legal proceedings and trials.
• Develop and issue technical audit guidelines and instructions for financial investigations.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local officials throughout the investigation process.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain requisite background investigation clearance.
• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, fraud examination, or data analysis.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or fraud examination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to analyze complex financial records and present findings accurately.

Nice to have

• Experience reviewing medical records and knowledge of medical billing procedures.
• Familiarity with STARS or Business Objects software.
• Prior experience working with federal or state law enforcement entities.
