What you will do

• Serve as the final escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by Tier 1 or Tier 2 teams.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced infrastructure issues involving servers, networks, firewalls, and backup systems.
• Perform deep-dive root cause analysis on recurring or high-impact incidents to implement permanent fixes.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor for key clients, maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to the internal knowledge base.
• Assist with IT infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and client onboarding processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive IT support experience, including at least 2 years in a Tier 2/3 or senior role.
• Must have MSP industry experience.
• Must be available to work 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Eastern Time.
• Technical proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange/Office 365, and Azure AD.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs).
• Must have own computer and reliable internet connection as this is an independent contractor role.

Nice to have

• Certifications: Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE/Modern Workplace), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or CompTIA (Security+, Network+, Server+).
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud technologies.
