What you will do

• Partner with Casualty underwriters to provide guidance on coverage, contract certainty, and regulatory considerations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contract wordings, endorsements, and clauses for casualty, liability, and cyber risks.
• Support new and existing product development by advising on wording structure and legal risk management.
• Maintain internal wordings resources, clause libraries, and templates to ensure consistency.
• Provide technical training and knowledge-sharing for underwriters and other stakeholders.
• Represent the company in Lloyd’s and London Market forums regarding emerging risks and legal developments.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in wordings, underwriting support, or insurance legal roles, ideally within the Lloyd’s or London Market.
• Proven experience with casualty, liability, financial lines, or cyber insurance wordings.
• Strong contract drafting skills with excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex underwriting intent into clear, commercially appropriate policy language.
• Confidence in making coverage decisions and facilitating technical discussions with diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Law degree or legal qualification involving commercial contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with LMA or London Market wording standards and model clauses.
• Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification.
• Background in general non-marine insurance and reinsurance.
