TL;DR
IT Service Desk Engineer (IT Support): Providing first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network incidents across multiple office locations with an accent on troubleshooting and user administration. Focus on resolving hardware/software incidents, managing user accounts in Active Directory, and maintaining IT assets.
Location: Hull (with occasional travel to other regional offices)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

What you will do
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents.
- Manage the end-to-end incident lifecycle using ticketing systems and escalate complex issues to specialist teams.
- Support desktop, server, and infrastructure environments.
- Onboard new employees by setting up user accounts, workstations, and IT equipment.
- Maintain IT asset registers and review system reports and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within an IT Service Desk, IT Support, or Helpdesk environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Active Directory and user account administration.
- Knowledge of network fundamentals including DNS, IP addressing, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and VPNs.
- Ability to provide hardware support for laptops, desktops, monitors, and printers.
- Experience working within SLAs and escalation processes.
