TL;DR

Staff Accountant II (SaaS): Supporting the expansion of global business operations through accurate financial reporting and general ledger management with an accent on month-end close processes, SOX compliance, and account reconciliations. Focus on driving process improvements, maintaining US GAAP standards, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure financial integrity.

Location: Must be based in the United States (New York City office presence expected).

Salary: $63,000–$105,000/year (including OTE).

What you will do

  • Execute month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly analytical reviews to ensure financial statement accuracy.
  • Support financial audits and maintain SOX compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate statutory compliance and audits for international entities.
  • Partner with FP&A and Accounts Payable teams to ensure accurate invoice coding.
  • Optimize accounting systems and platforms, specifically NetSuite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Proven knowledge and application of US GAAP.
  • General understanding of SOX compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Nice to have

  • Big 4 or large regional firm experience.
  • CPA or MBA certification.
  • International accounting experience.
  • Experience in the SaaS or technology industry.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or Numeric.
