Location: Must be based in or able to work from Southampton (Hybrid)

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of high-value, complex costs matters.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to the costs team.
  • Handle strategic litigation, including test cases and group litigation.
  • Identify and implement new costs initiatives to drive profitability.
  • Contribute to the Costs Strategy Group to shape future firm direction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and clients.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Costs law, principles, and case law.
  • Proven experience handling complex, high-value costs files independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute innovative legal strategies.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder management.
  • Track record of delivering training and developing others.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Southampton.
