TL;DR
Head of Legal (Fintech): Leading the legal team and managing commercial, corporate, and compliance matters for a tech-driven equity management platform with an accent on scaling across multiple jurisdictions and maturing legal infrastructure. Location: Hybrid (London, UK) - 2 days per week in the office

What you will do
- Act as a strategic legal advisor to the executive team and board on key business decisions.
- Lead, manage, and develop the internal legal team and coordinate with external counsel.
- Oversee corporate governance and compliance across jurisdictions including Switzerland, the UK, and Germany.
- Negotiate high-value bespoke commercial agreements, including enterprise SaaS contracts, MSAs, and DPAs.
- Develop and maintain AI governance policies and frameworks for internal tools and product features.
- Manage legal and regulatory risks, including UK/EU GDPR and Swiss FADP compliance.
Requirements
- 8+ years PQE with significant in-house experience in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing a legal team.
- Strong commercial experience in a SaaS business, negotiating bespoke high-value contracts.
- Demonstrable experience in legal operations and AI governance.
- Track record of supporting international expansion across UK, European, and US jurisdictions.
- Must be based in London to support a hybrid work model.
Nice to have
- AI-first mindset with experience embedding AI tools into legal workflows.
- Experience with Swiss law.
- Experience supporting M&A or other corporate transactions.
- Financial services regulatory experience, specifically regarding equity/share plan administration.
