TL;DR

Account Manager (Travel): Managing and growing a portfolio of merchant partners in the Italian travel industry with an accent on upselling, cross-selling, and driving transaction volume. Focus on building long-term relationships, optimizing merchant revenue, and conducting face-to-face business reviews and field activities.

Location: Must be based in Milan, Italy (Hybrid role with 30% travel required).

Compensation: EUR 35,000–40,000 base salary + EUR 10,000–15,000 variable performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Retain and grow the assigned merchant portfolio through regular business reviews and sales calls.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for product upselling and cross-selling of ecosystem services.
  • Manage the Go-Live process for new merchants to reduce time-to-market.
  • Provide consultancy to merchants on revenue optimization and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on co-marketing activities to increase transaction volume.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, attend industry events, and perform field activities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Italian and English is mandatory.
  • 2-3 years of experience in account management or business consulting, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to grow partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience in upselling and cross-selling to maximize transaction volume.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, organized, and data-driven approach.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the MEDDIC sales methodology.
