What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification through to final submission.
• Lead the development of technical solutions, scope definitions, and compliance responses in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop and validate bid costing, pricing models, and financial analyses to ensure profitability.
• Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, and contractual risks throughout the proposal process.
• Facilitate collaboration between Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Legal departments to ensure aligned decision-making.
• Ensure governance reviews and executive approvals are obtained to maintain high bid quality and win probability.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid South African Identity document.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or Project Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in bid management or commercial management within a defence, engineering, or technology environment.
• Proven experience in cost estimation, pricing strategy, and financial modelling.
• Strong understanding of bid management methodologies, WBS, and SOW development.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
