Project Manager (Heavy Engineering)

What you will do

• Set up and manage allocated projects from enquiry and award through final takeover and handover.
• Lead project teams and coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, delivery, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Develop and control project schedules, budgets, work packages, quality plans, HS&E plans, communications plans, and risk mitigation plans.
• Manage client approvals, acceptance criteria, deliverables, project changes, commercial conditions, and supplier communication.
• Monitor expenditure, resolve project issues, and escalate risks affecting approved cost, schedule, quality, or scope constraints.

Requirements

• B.Tech, B.Sc, or B.Eng degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 10–12 years of relevant project management experience.
• Project Management qualification and registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
• Knowledge and experience in mining, oil and gas, mineral processing, or heavy engineering.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel, and MS Project; own transportation; willingness to travel and work flexible or demanding hours.
