TL;DR

Motor Claims Handler (Insurance): Managing a portfolio of Fleet and Specialist motor claims from start to settlement with an accent on liability assessment, quantum calculation, and relationship management. Focus on minimizing indemnity spend, ensuring compliance with Civil Procedure Rules, and providing exceptional service to fleet customers.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Sevenoaks, UK (Hybrid working).

Salary: £28,747 – £38,160 per annum plus £2,000 annual bonus potential.

What you will do

  • Validate claims for indemnity and fraud while assessing liability.
  • Manage a portfolio of Fleet and Specialist motor claims through to settlement.
  • Communicate effectively with claimants and representatives to establish exposure.
  • Perform accurate quantum assessments and minimize indemnity spend through commercial decision-making.
  • Utilize in-house motor engineers to intervene on vehicle losses.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Must have the right to work in the UK (at least one year remaining on Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; no sponsorship available).
  • Significant experience in Personal Injury (PI) and/or credit hire claims.
  • Extensive working knowledge of Pre-Action Protocol, Civil Procedure Rules, and hourly rate costs.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to fact-find, analyze information, and make accurate decisions.
  • Must be able to work from the Sevenoaks office as part of a hybrid arrangement.
