TL;DR

Family Practitioner: Providing targeted, individual, and group interventions for children and families to improve outcomes with an accent on systemic care and safeguarding. Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Romford, United Kingdom

Salary: £39,276–£42,771 per annum

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of families with additional and multiple needs, providing tailored support and interventions.
  • Conduct whole-family focused assessments to identify strengths and needs within the home and community.
  • Work directly with children and young people to ensure their voices are incorporated into planning processes.
  • Collaborate with social workers and multi-agency partners to support families in care or transitioning from statutory services.
  • Prepare professional reports and attend court proceedings to provide evidence on specific cases when required.
  • Facilitate parenting workshops and provide structured guidance to vulnerable families.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality, outcome-focused support to children and families.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and partnerships across internal and external agencies.
  • Understanding of effective practice and policies affecting children and families.
  • Experience in preparing professional reports and assessments for children.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in service delivery.

Nice to have

  • Experience in supervised family time contact services.
  • Experience in delivering parenting programmes or non-violent resistance training.
  • Experience working in both public and voluntary sectors.
