What you will do

• Provide business-focused legal guidance to product, engineering, and security teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead negotiation and structuring of technology alliances, OEM arrangements, IP licensing, and marketplace deals.
• Advise on regulatory, data, and security issues related to product design, interoperability, and third-party integrations.
• Develop scalable legal frameworks, processes, and training to help technical teams move quickly while managing risk.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts on specialized risk areas and incorporate AI-enabled workflows into legal processes.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• At least 10 years of legal experience, including 4+ years in-house at a technology company.
• Deep expertise in negotiating complex technology and IP transactions and alliance deals.
• Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into actionable guidance.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (this role is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship).

Nice to have

• Experience with AI governance, responsible-AI principles, or AI/ML-driven features.
• Knowledge of software licensing, open-source governance, and software supply chain matters.
• Experience with patent, copyright, trade secret, and trademark licensing or litigation.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPP/US.
