Turbomachinery AIT Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Bordeaux, France. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship provided.

The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle, and advanced propulsion systems to democratize space.

What you will do

• Prepare and execute assembly and test procedures for electric pump hardware, including inspection and acceptance testing.
• Design and implement specialized tooling for the assembly and testing of pump components.
• Lead high-precision mechanical assembly of bearings, rotors, stators, and seals.
• Manage fluid interfaces and instrumentation on test articles at both pump and engine levels.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide feedback on manufacturability, assembly, and testability (MAIT).
• Coordinate with internal/external test bench teams, suppliers, and facility operators.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in turbomachinery MAIT or closely related fields with fluidic experience.
• Hands-on experience with pump or rotating machinery testing.
• Solid understanding of cryogenics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Familiarity with dynamic seals, bearings, and manufacturing processes (machining, welding, additive manufacturing).
• Willingness to relocate to France; visa sponsorship is available.
