DevSecOps Engineer (Embedded Systems)

What you will do

• Build and maintain secure links between on-premise infrastructure and GCP, including identity integration, Zero Trust controls, workload transitions, observability, cost management, and latency reduction.
• Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for embedded and cross-compiled builds.
• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows across GCP and on-premise edge devices using DevSecOps and EdgeOps practices.
• Manage Docker and other OCI containers, multi-architecture artifacts, and build and deployment scripts.
• Integrate and test microcontrollers, sensor boards, and autopilot hardware with firmware and electronics teams.
• Build Linux-derivative operating systems and dependencies for AMD64 and ARM64 targets, including communication bridges between Linux and MCU-level systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Robotics, or Embedded Systems.
• 2–5 years of DevOps or EdgeOps experience.
• Experience bridging software, firmware, and infrastructure across edge devices, microcontrollers, and cloud-connected systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly and respectfully.
• Solution-oriented approach and a team-first focus on platform stability and team health.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP services including Artifact Registry, Cloud Build, and GCE instances.
• Experience with Go and CMake.
• Knowledge of embedded hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson or Raspberry Pi and MCU firmware integration.
• Awareness of ROS 2, including colcon, ament, and uXRCE-DDS.
